Choose the route that matches the person's status and the kind of record needed:
- For a county booking record, photo request, recent arrest, current roster result, or correction path, begin with the San Diego County booking hub.
- For an adult criminal warrant or a selective wanted notice, use the San Diego County warrant path.
- For an arrest report, contact SDPD, Chula Vista Police, Oceanside Police, or the other agency that made the arrest.
- For release alerts, register with VINE through a Who's in Jail detail or VINELink. VINE tracks custody changes, not court outcomes.
- For a sentenced state prisoner, use California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation CIRIS; it is separate from county custody.
- For federal prison or immigration detention, use the federal Bureau of Prisons or ICE locator, since neither is a Sheriff jail search.
